Vietnamese communists murdered hundreds of teachers, students, and local officials in Hue, Vietnam’s intellectual capital. China implemented the Cultural Revolution. Fidel Castro ran the middle class in Cuba and forced them into exile. Among the first Cubans who left their country were statisticians, judges and lawyers, whose realism was an obstacle against the ideology of the new regime that came to power.
