Lut Desert Sky in the Annual Photography Competition

Travel and adventure photography blog Capture the Atlas has announced the winners of its sixth annual Milky Way Photographer of the Year competition.
Modern cameras can capture details and vibrant colors in the night sky beyond what our eyes can see. However, what matters in every great image is the photographer behind the camera, who provides the idea, design, and creativity to bring the image to life.
Travel and adventure photography blog Capture the Atlas has revealed the winners of its sixth annual Milky Way Photographer of the Year competition, featuring 25 images from 16 different countries. The 25 finalists were chosen from over 3,000 entries. “The quality of the image, the story behind the image, and the overall inspiration the image provides are the main factors in selecting the images each year,” explains the Milky Way photography blog.
