Previously, in the WordPress installation tutorial series, we taught you how to install WordPress on different hosting systems. But many popular hosting control panels have received less attention. You may encounter these control panels less. But it is not harmful to know how to install WordPress on these control panels. One of these management panels is the Plesk Control Panel. This article will teach you how to install WordPress on Plesk.
How to install WordPress on Plesk
First, let’s get acquainted with Plesk. Then we will start installing WordPress in Plesk.
Plesk control panel
As explained earlier, the control panels of the host management vary depending on the server operating system. For example, CPanel or Direct Admin is used for Linux hosts. For Windows servers, the WebSitePanel is usually very popular. But Plesk is a control panel that works well on Windows and Linux.
However, our many years of experience dealing with this control panel have shown that Plesk has more problems than other control panels. But rightly so, all of these are tools to use. So we will not base our business success on the fact that I installed some control panels, which is why my website did not succeed! However, the hosting control panel will also have a significant impact on the speed and SEO of our website.
Log in to Plesk to start WordPress installation
Use yourwebsite.com:8880 to log in to the Plesk hosting admin panel. You will encounter such a page:
Enter your username and password to log in to the host management panel. Get the username and password from the server administrator who installed this control panel or the hosting where you purchased your hosting account. This password is usually emailed to you when you are buying the service.

Now enter the Files section so that you can use your file manager.
Open the httpdocs folder. Or, if you see a list of your domains (which means that there are several domains on your host), click on your domain first and then open the httpdocs folder.
Click the tick next to the index.html file and select Remove. In this case, the index.html file will be deleted not to disturb the work’s continuation. If you do not have specific information on the host, delete all other files.
And click on Upload at the top of the page to upload the files you want.
You can download the WordPress file from this page and upload it here. Please select the file and upload it.
After uploading the file, you will refresh the page and see the zip file. Click the tick next to the file and select Extract from the Archive menu.
Now enter the WordPress folder and move the files to the previous folder, public_html.
We have checked all the files. Enter the directory file manager from the Move menu and select the httpdocs folder. All files were moved to the main folder.
